Library holds book exchange for the holidays

The Caney Creek Library is holding a book exchange for students and staff through Dec. 15, 2022.

The book exchange was started last year as a way for students and staff to pick a book, read them, and then pass it on to the next person. Any books donated are wrapped by the library’s student aids and put out for people to choose.

Elizabeth Main, the librarian at Caney Creek, said that they started the book exchange last year but that it “really took off this year,” with all books being adopted by Thanksgiving Break. However, they’re still taking donations for more book exchanges up until Dec. 15, 2022.

Anyone interested in donating books is encouraged to make sure they’re in ok condition with preferably no water damage, grime, or sticky stuff inside or outside of the book. Main insists on a condition where “you would actually want it on your shelf.”
