The Mighty Panther Band has its annual winter concert on Monday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. The concert will feature performances from both Caney Creek High School and Moorhead Junior High.

The concert is free to attend and will be held in Gym A.

Assistant band director Steven Kloesel said his favorite song the students will perform is “We Wish You A Mambo Christmas.”

“Each band will perform two songs at the concert including the junior high band,” Kloesel said. “They’re all new songs for our high school kids.”

Senior Carolina Gauna said she is excited for her last Christmas concert.

“It’s going to be our last Christmas concert and I feel like it’s going to be a really good one,” Gauna said. “My favorite piece would have to be ‘Suite Divertimento.’”

Junior Anthony DeLeon plays the trumpet and is thrilled for this concert.

“I always liked doing concerts ‘cause my parents can come and they can come look at me and stuff,” DeLeon said. “My favorite piece of music right now is probably ‘Mambo Christmas.’”
