YUCK! Junior Riley Blanks looks away from her arm while Nurses point out veins on her arm at the blood drive on Sept. 4. Blanks wanted to donate blood to prepare herself for what to expect her senior year, so she can earn her blood drive chord. “Me and my sister, we agreed to do it together,” Blanks said. “I know that blood is gonna go towards something like, it'll be used for something important, hopefully, can save a life or help somebody.”

RUN UP. The Caney Creek High School Varsity football team running out for their entrance against Montgomery High School on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024. The energy was high for the first home game of the new season and it started off good with the first quarter ending score being 7-7. Unfortunately it would be downhill from there, a gap between scores happened and kept widening, with the ending score of the game being a 33-58 loss.

Freshman Counselor Sophia Meza bonds with her youngest son at the pen pal station on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Caney Creek high school. Mrs. Meza has two kids, the youngest being named Marcel turning 3 on March 15 and the oldest is named Alonso who is 9 years old. “I really enjoyed and was amazed by the variety of activities available as well as the people who were facilitating the event, since they were very attentive to my children.” Meza said.
