After a quick first week of school students enjoyed a three day weekend celebrating Labor Day. The extra day allowed for students to hang out and have fun with their friends and family.

“I hung out with family and went to the lake,” said senior Samantha Burch

For some, the extended weekend was a good opportunity to just slow down and relax after surviving the first week of school.

“I chilled and relax with my mom and a couple of my friends.” said junior Jordan Goodson.

 Labor Day is also a time to save money by taking advantage of the holiday sales at local stores.

“I went shopping in Harwin with my family,” said sophomore Chelsea Kirkland. “We got my homecoming dress.”

Students had a great Labor Day weekend but now it is time to start getting back to their school routine and focusing on classes.
