CANEY CREEK VIRTUAL JOURNALISM MEET
Hello and welcome to the Caney Creek Virtual Journalism Contest!
We do not call it a UIL invitational because this contest contains more than just UIL writing events. The concept of this meet is both to give you an opportunity to compete in UIL meets without all that travel, and to stretch your staff’s creativity heading into deadline season.
- Competition Dates: Monday, Jan. 26 to Friday, Jan. 30, 2026
- Deadline for Submissions: 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026
- Fees: $10 for writing events, $5 per photo entry
