How would other people describe you as an athlete?
Kind of calm, and motivated.
How and why did you start playing?
My dad started running so I just followed him, it would be fun the way he would get tired, I like running too.
Describe how you prepare before a meet.
I stretch, watch a movie, get little snacks I don’t eat that much, and I run a mile as practice and that’s it
What do you think your reputation is as an athlete?
That way I can get motivated and get faster.
What personal superstitions or traditions do you have before, during or after a game?
Just normally stay inside and stretch and you know, basically just watch a movie. If I do something else it’s gonna affect me, I also don’t like going out partying the day before.
Tell us about your favorite memory as an athlete either on or off the field.
This one time after a district some of us placed, some of us didn’t but we just had fun at dinner, we just kept talking and taking pictures, It was fun.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
I’m just proud that I’m still running. I wanted to quit two years ago because it was hard and tiring but I kept going and I’m proud about that.
As an athlete, who is someone you are thankful for and why?
My mom, she’s always pushing and motivating me telling me not to give up and just keep trying, shes likes my motivation for it.
What advice would you give to people that may want to play your sport?
Just keep trying and not give up. I know it’s hard but just keep trying.
What’s on your sports bucket list?
Break another school record.
