How would other people describe you as an athlete?
I’m a great leader and the main person in defense.
How and why did you start playing?
My dad brought me into the sport, and I fell in love with it. I just fell in love with it because he wanted me to get active early, put in the hard work and stay dedicated to the sport that I fell in love with.
Describe how you prepare before a game/tournament.
I mostly listen to music, focus, watch the plays, and just be ready for the game.
What do you think your reputation is as an athlete?
I’d say it’s a pretty good reputation. I’ve had a few decent accomplishments, and I plan on making some better ones this year.
What personal superstitions or traditions do you have before, during or after a game?
I guess talking from last year, so I always take some pain medicine for the game as for me, it helps with just focusing and not thinking about the pain as much.
Tell us about your favorite memory as an athlete either on or off the field.
I’d say my favorite memory would be getting defensive MVP for the school.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
Being second team All-District. I know it’s only the second team, but I plan to get the first team this year.
As an athlete, who is someone you are thankful for and why?
My parents brought me into it, they’ve been helping me this whole time and pushing me to do better, and I’m thankful for them.
What advice would you give to people that may want to play your sport?
It’s a hard sport, just don’t give up. There’s a lot of you who get bruises and injuries. But never give up, because one day you could be a starter.
What’s on your sports bucket list?
Play University Of Texas after high school and eventually go to the NFL.
