How would other people describe your high-school self?
I am very involved, I did drill team in FFA, and student council.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?
I wanted to be a vet. I work with animals everyday.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I decided that I didn’t want to go to school for that long and i wanted to work with children
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
I hang out with my daughter McKenna. I love hanging out with her by going to the park and riding horses.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
Getting my masters degree, because after my first round of school I wasn’t gonna pursue it like right away and then I decided that I wanted to just go ahead and just get it done.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
My Grandpa because he did everything for me growing up and he taught me everything about horses and that’s where my passion for animals came from.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Work hard and everything that you do keeps doing it.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
Hopefully being kind.
What’s on your bucket list? What aspirations do you have for the future?
A vacation to Alaska, and I would love to continue teaching agriculture forever and helping kids get to where they want to be and become vets and working in the animal industry.
