How would other people describe you?
Other people would describe me as kind and anti-social ,calm ,honest.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching.
This has always been the career I’ve wanted to do.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher but I did not have the opportunity to go to college after high school. But as soon as the opportunity opened for me, I took it
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
I like to be by myself a lot. I like to run ,practice cross fit and with my kids when they are available, coffee dates by myself.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
That I’m super funny and I like to make jokes and laugh a lot, many people think I’m so serious and I am when i need to but on the inside I’m super funny.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
I’m most proud of pursuing my dreams and at the fact that I took that opportunity and didn’t use my age or situations to stop me.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I’m thankful for my students because even if they don’t know it they save me and they are part of my life , sometimes to continue to be a teacher and also to grow as a teacher and be better everyday.
What advice would you give to someone pursuing a career similar to yours?
The advice I would give to them is to go for it because sometimes we might not believe in ourselves. But as long as you wanna teach deeply because of your heart and that genuinely is what you wanna do. You will overcome any and all obstacles that you’re gonna encounter.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
I hoped to be remembered for never giving up and for having a positive attitude, the type of attitude that pushes you everyday to overcome obstacles and be a problem solver not a problem fighter.
What’s on your bucket list?
I would love to travel to as many countries as I can throughout the summer.
