District Art Show
Sep 29, 2014
This years district art show took place at Conroe ISD administration building last Sunday, September 14. Students were thrilled to see other students from different schools work and show off their unique and creative art skills.
“Every Year, every art teacher in the district chooses a top ten out of those pieces of art work and judges hand select which pieces of art work get to be on display,” art teacher Ms. Renner said.
Many students, including senior Alejandra De La Cruz and junior Mariana Lozano, find their inspiration by artists like Agnes Cecile and Frida Kahlo.
“I try to put my own culture and different objects in to my paintings,” De La Cruz said.
There are many different mediums that students use to create pictures that attract an audience.
“I do both, painting and drawing,” Lozano said. “For this one I used watercolors.”
These students have come very far with their artistic abilities and plan to continue improving and entering into more competitions in the future.
