Choir students performed their first  concert of the year this Thursday night in the auditorium.

Groups that will performeed during the show included, the Acapella choir, chamber choir, Men’s choir and the Chorale choir. they performed some of their old hits as well as some new favorites Non nobis Domine , Great Day, Waters Ripple and Flow, Codfish Shanty and Dona Nobis Pacem.

Choir students practiced daily for this Fall concert.

“I practice three hours a day, mainly focusing on my posture, and memorizing songs,” junior Jules Holcomb said.

This concert was for the choir to practice and strengthen skills that are necessary for UIL competition.

“There are different interest levels, such as our varsity choir. There will be students that are willing to become really good and that are willing to put their time and effort to give there best,” Choir teacher Jonathan Richmond said.

The concert, which was free to attend, put singers in front of an audience and prepared them for competitions that they will attend later during this school year.
