How would other people describe you as an athlete?
Hard working and determined.
How and why did you start playing?
I was already interested in basketball, like I had played basketball forever and then I joined the school’s team and volleyball just seemed fun.
What do you think your reputation is as an athlete?
I think it’s good like other coaches will come up to me and ask how I did and stuff so I think it’s good.
What personal superstitions or traditions do you have before, during or after a game?
I always wear my hair in a braid, like if I do good wearing a certain hairstyle, then I’ll just keep doing it.
Tell us about your favorite memory as an athlete either on or off the field.
Freshman year whenever we beat Willis high school in basketball.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
For not giving up when it’s hard and just keep working hard.
As an athlete, who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I’m thankful for coach Short because she gave me a chance whenever like no one else would, and she just taught me so many things and I still remember everything.
What advice would you give to people that may want to play your sport?
You just have to be determined and show that you’re willing to work with whatever you’re giving.
What’s on your bucket list?
Starting a game in basketball.
