How would other people describe you?
Funny and goofy at times but caring.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching.
I wanted to be a singer.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I started as a teacher aid but soon I became a real teacher.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
I travel and sing at my church.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
I sing. I’ve been singing since I was a little girl. I also love to make people laugh.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
From college to now, I’ve been on a health journey and have lost over 100 pounds.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I am thankful for my momma. She is one of my very best friends.
What advice would you give to someone pursuing a career similar to yours?
Make every day a new day. New day equals a new chance to succeed.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered as a teacher who genuinely cared about students.
What’s on your bucket list?
Australia. I want to see a kangaroo in the wild.
