Physical therapist.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I met my husband and he was from Houston, and I worked in industry and didn’t want to go work for petrochemical so I decided to be a teacher.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
Watch soccer because my son plays soccer.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
I’m very crafty and handy.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
I finished my principal certification that made me proud because it was tough and it took me forever.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I’m thankful for my family because they lighten up my life and they’re wonderful people.
What advice would you give to someone pursuing a career similar to yours?
Be flexible.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope students remember me for inspiring them to go into their careers that they end up loving.

Swimming with sharks.
