How would other people describe you?
Goofy and nice.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching.
I did want to play football past high school, but that really wasn’t it. I did consider pursuing a degree in order to go into aerospace engineering.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I have a lot of family in teaching. My mom was a teacher. She allowed me to go into our classroom a lot, and so a lot of the things that she saw as benefits, I saw really early on, and it kind of made me want to pursue the same, same path for myself.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
Mostly gaming. I also like golfing a lot. I play a lot of billiards so playing pool, primarily because it’s like different activities. I can just switch my mind off.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
Probably that I’m not as mean as I might seem. Some people think I’m mean, until they get to know me, and then they’re like, Oh, you’re actually a lot nicer.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
Graduating college, probably that’s something that like, I went through a lot of hardships throughout it, and it took a lot to get to that finish line, but whenever I got through with it, it was so rewarding that allowed me to be here,
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
My wife, because she’s my rock. She’s my everything, everything that I possibly need, she provides. She’s not everything.
What advice would you give to someone pursuing a career similar to yours?
Enjoy the little moments. It’s not always about the big picture. It’s about the little moments in between to keep you happy.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
Just making an impact overall, like everybody that like, one of my things I’ve always said is I hope that at some point in somebody’s life, whenever they’ve met me at somewhere down the road, I always just hope that they, They kind of have a I wish that he was here to see this kind of moment with them, so making an impact to where they they would, they would think of me and their high points to be like, I know he would be proud of me.
What’s on your bucket list?
I’ve crossed off a lot of them. One that I haven’t crossed off is going golfing over in Ireland, in Sweden and like in the European areas.
