OCHESTRA.

Skills USA: The SkillsUSA photography team held their Halloween contest on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024. Milagros Arzate, Tony Sandoval, and Angelica Vazquez were the contest winners.

Film: The film club hosted a Halloween party after school on Wednesday, Oct.23, 2024 where they had snacks, trivia, and games.

Orchestra: Competed in the District Wide Honor Orchestra auditions on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024. Alia Soto competed and made it into the honor orchestra program. 

Band: The mighty panther band in the region UIL marching contest at the Woodforest Bank Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024 and earned superior ratings from all three judges.

Freshman’s crochet bunny wins Artist of the Month
BEAUTY. Junior Addison Blanks poses with her clarinet for a photo on Nov. 11, 2023. Blanks dedicated her time and hard work to progress in her instruments in applying to the event. “When I walked on stage and saw the amount of people and how amazing the stage was, I was overwhelmed with joy, and in the late moment it hit me that I had made it to one of the most well known concert halls in the world.” Blanks said.
Junior performs at Carnegie Hall
CHIMES. Senior Jordan Jahn plays the wind chimes during the Jazz band and Percussion concert on Wednesday Feb. 21, 2024. In preparation for the concert, Jahn would practice before school started, along with her percussion friends. “During the concert, I think we were all relaxed and just having fun,” Jahn said. “I mean, there was no real pressure, so we were all relaxed. I feel like we played really well. I've learned that having an amazing group of people behind you helps you feel more confident in what you're about to perform.”

Jacquelyn Palacios is a staff reporter at Caney Creek High School. Palacios is in her first year as a staff reporter. She will be a first year member in the NEHS club. Jacquelyn enjoys fishing with her older sister and father every summer. She also enjoys reading thriller and romcom books.
Marcos Tzunun
Marcos Tzunun, Photojournalist
Marcos Tzunun is a photographer for Caney Creek high school. This is his first year being part of the Student Media. He plays soccer out side of school. He has played the Alto Saxophone for 8 years now, not only a Saxophonist, but a Guitarist as well. He stared learning the Guitar at the age of 6. Hoping to major in music in college.
