NJROTC
The NJROTC students held their annual inspection in the auditorium on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025.
TAFE
The TAFE team competed in the Teach Tomorrow Summit State Competition in Galveston on Monday, Feb. 17 through Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025.
- Samantha Reese, Grace Navarette, and Ja’Sha Bolden received a silver award in Chapter Yearbook.
- Alondra Martinez received a golden award for Children’s Literature Pre-K Spanish.
- Layla Castro received a silver award for her interactive bulletin board.
- Grace Navarette received the gold award for her interactive bulletin board.
- Syd Jaramillo Puebla and Sam Robertson received the gold award for teacher created materials.
SkillsUSA
The photography team competed in the District 7 SkillsUSA meet in Port Arthur on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025.
- Jonathan Contreras, Isabela Bernon, Mayren Quintana and Adriel Esteban all received a blue ribbon for their job exhibition notebook in the portrait category.
Speech and Debate
The Speech and Debate team competed in the National qualifying tournament on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025. Most of the students that competed advanced to nationals or alternate positions.
- Lani Roman and Claire Garcia are the 2nd and 1st alternates in Informative debate.
- Joselin Guazozon and Zoe Aubrey’s team is the 2nd alternate group in Policy debate.
- Ava Aldridge is the 2nd alternate in LD debate and 1st alternate in U.S. Extemp.
- Breshad qualified in Congress, BQ, Extemp, Worlds, and LD debate. He will now compete in the National tournament and will be recognized for qualifying every year throughout his four years in high school.
Colorguard
The Color Guard team competed at the Marching Auxiliaries State Championship on Saturday, 22, 2025. The team was named state champions in the 6A division and were the top scoring team.
Band
The mighty panther band competed at the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble contest on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025. The 38 band members that attended the event received a superior rating on their solo or ensemble throughout the competition.
