How would other people describe you?
People describe me as quiet. I don’t talk much unless I know the person very, very well, or I feel comfortable around somebody.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching.
I wanted to be a reporter I enjoy watching the people on the TV, like the people that did all the interviews and I wanted to do that.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I got into teaching because of my best friend and I wanted to change the job that I had. So I got certified as a teacher.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
I try to work out as much as I can, maybe two to three times a week. I like to read.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
That I am talkative once I get to know that person.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
I’m proud of being the first in my family to go to college, and graduate from college. And not only that, you know, just for furthering my education, and getting my master’s degree.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I’m Thankful For my best friend just for opening her house to me when I first came to Houston.
What advice would you give to someone pursuing a career similar to yours?
That they shadow somebody in that position like Be it a teacher or a counselor, that way they can get to See what that person does on a daily basis.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope to be remembered for being kind.

Travel.
