STUCO

The Student Council held their first General Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, after school in the LGI. Members received important information on upcoming events and projects and were reminded to bring items for gift baskets and point sheets.

On National Suicide Prevention day, students showed support by wearing purple or teal and signing the Helping Hands banner during lunch in the small cafeteria on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025.

The scheduled Student Council Work Day on Thursday, Sept. 11, was canceled. Updates about upcoming meetings will be shared soon.

TAFE

Seniors can personalize their parking spots this year! Parking Spot Painting Forms must be picked up from room 3205 or 3420 and submitted for approval to Ms. Anderson or Dr. Bray by Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2025. Painting day will be Saturday, Sept. 20.

National Art Honor Society

The first NAHS meeting was held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, after school in Mrs. Pagel’s Art Room 5501.

Theatre Troupe

The Theatre Troupe met on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at 2:45 in room 5508.

Literary Magazine

Students interested in publishing writing, art, or photography met on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at 2:35 in room 4202.

Speech & Debate

The Speech and Debate team met Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, after school in room 3416.

Nadia Iqbaluddin, News Editor, is a reporter on Caney Creek’s Student Media staff. She covers news relevant to both staff and the student body. This is her first year on staff, but she is also an athletic trainer and the volleyball manager. Alongside this, Nadia is in National Honor Society and National Science Honor Society. She is a hard-working student who has consistently taken challenging courses while remaining personable and energetic. Nadia has received the Best Work Ethic Award in Athletic Training. She aspires to become an environmental lawyer and work for the United Nations one day. In her free time, she enjoys video games, the outdoors, and helping others.
