Sophomores have been signing up for the TSI test to get into lone star’s college dual credit program, where students can take their college English and US History classes in high-school.

TSI testing will take place on Thursday, February 25th & Thursday, March 3rd in the college and career center at 1 PM, also on Saturday, February 27th at 8 AM. Along with being apart of Dual Credit, you are officially a college student. That means you are going to be a Maverick along with being a Panther. You are also able to use lone star’s facilities, like their study rooms and such.

Dual credit is known for being hard work, many Juniors came into our classes to explain how much more is expected of you in dual credit.

“I’m scared because it’s gonna be a lot of work,“ sophomore Sidney Gates said.

Studying for this test seems to be on high priority with most sophomores. Many use the tools given to them in the College and Career Center.

“Those TSI packets they give you, I’ve been going over those everyday,” sophomore Katrina Mobley said.

Excitement for dual credit is high as many are ready to get their college basics out of the way so they can take classes that people know they’ll enjoy.

“I get rid of at least one college credit and that’s less i’ll have to deal with,” sophomore Constance Burleson said.

In conclusion stakes are high with this test but with the right amount of studying you can definitely pass it!
