Super Bowl Champions
Feb 7, 2016
Von Miller stripping the ball from Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to give Broncos defense a touchdown; Denver cornerback, Aqib Tabilo grabbing Philly Brown by the facemask; Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart jumping over a dog pile to successfully deliver a touchdown; and the longest punt return in NFL history (61 yards) by Broncos’ J. Norwood are just SOME of the magnificent plays that took place during the Super Bowl 50.
“I was rooting for the Panthers because I like them way more than the Broncos. The most exciting play I saw was when Cam Newton ran out of the pocket and made a first down. But I don’t feel too bad about them (Panthers) losing because I’m not a huge fan,” junior Eric Mills said.
According to a poll on wkyc.com, 73% of people thought that the Carolina Panther’s were going to win Super Bowl 50.
“I was really excited about the Panthers making it to the Super Bowl. We all thought that the Panthers were gonna’ win, so it was definitely a shock when the Broncos took the lead of 24-10,” freshman Tate Mcmanus said.
However, some people were rooting for the Broncos the whole time and are very pleased with the results from Sunday night’s intense game.
“I’m definitely for Broncos all the way. They have one of the best defenses. I’m really happy about their win tonight and hope they have many more to come. I only watched a little bit of the game, but from what I saw the most exciting part was when the Broncos made a touchdown within like 5 seconds,” sophomore Colton Skero said.
Whether you were rooting for the Denver Broncos or the Carolina Panthers, Sunday night’s game was fun to just hang out with family/friends, eat lots of food, and argue who teh better team would be.
