The Caney Creek varsity softball team is in a very tough district this year, their record was 10-17 this season.
“The team didn’t do as good as we would have liked” says Varsity head coach Meghan Fisher.
During the season the team only had a few minor injuries,a broken thumb, concussions, and a shoulder injury. The varsity team had quite a few accomplishments this year,
“We went 5-1 at our North Shore tournament and had a few players earn all-district honors. We also had 10 varsity players make academic all-district” Says Fisher.
Like most schools, the team has before team rituals that they do before every home and away game.
“Most varsity players eat together before they return for home games.” Said Fisher.
This year, the team only has one senior leaving, Hannah Elsmore.
“However, she did the bulk of the pitching for us this year so it will be hard to fill her shoes.” Fisher said.
Overall, the team had a good season
