The boys varsity basketball team lost against the Lake Creek Lions 60-49 Jan. 8.

During the third quarter there was some technical fouls on both teams and got the fans on both sides riled up.

Senior Justin Turner led the panthers with 23 points including six three-pointers.

“Tying it up in the third was great,” Turner said. “I tried to keep it close and keep our momentum going, so that they wouldn’t make a run. I was telling myself just make sure I don’t lose focus and just keep cool and play defense and execute on offense.”

The JV team was left with the final score of 44-31 winning the game, while the freshman team ended with a 52-23 win against the Lions.

The Basketball boys will face the Tomball Cougars today at 7:00 p.m. .
