Creek Squad is a group of advanced theater students who act out skits, dance along to songs, perform at each pep-rally and get students pumped up for the varsity games this season.
Recently, the Creek Squad performed a comedic skit at the freshman orientation, demonstrating the do’s and don’ts of the school dress code.
“Creek Squad is a group of friends who make people laugh,” senior Lucas Mccutchen said. “We make fools of ourselves to make people laugh.”
Creek Squad conveys positive messages and the members involved put forward much effort for it to do so.
“We usually practice the week before and work on it all week,” senior Megan McClure said. “Sometimes I’m nervous, but only if we haven’t prepared very well.”
Taking advanced theater is preferred for those who are wanting to be on the squad but according to many of the squad members, it’s worth it.
“Its really fun,” senior Jesalyn Youngblood said. “It’s great.” Jesalyn would recommend joining Creek Squad to any new members.
