On Thursday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, Oct. 12, at 7:00 p.m., the Caney Creek Theater Department will be presenting a play written by screen writer Tim Kelly called Dark Deeds at Swan’s Place (or Never Trust a Tattooed Sailor).

“It’s a lot of work but it totally pays off in the end,” junior Alyssa Mathews said. “It’s a great experience and everyone becomes really close at the end.”

The play, published by Samuel French Publishing Company, will take place on both days in the main auditorium.

Tickets will be sold to adults for $5 and to students for $3. Students, teachers and parents have been asked not to take any photos (with or without flash) during the production.

“It’s fun to not play the good guys for once,” Mathews said.

This play is different from most that the theater students put on, a fact that can be attributed mostly to the unique view point.

“The play is from the viewpoint of the villains,” junior Carlee Lewis said. “It’s a lot of fun.”
