SPORTS RECAP 9/12-9/16: Football loses district opener in blowout game

After playing on the freshman football team last year, his sophomore year he excelled and got on to the varsity team. This is the first time Caney Creek and Conroe have competed against each other in football. “I was feeling very confident and prepared for war,” Carassco said. “I was very accomplished with all the training I have done, I am glad that I’m on Varsity,”.

Football

On Friday the varsity football team took on Conroe and lost 55-14. This week they will be going to Woodforest Stadium to take on Grand Oaks. 

Volleyball

Last Tuesday the Lady Panthers played at College Park in a losing effort going 3-0 (3-25, 11-25, 13-25). On Friday they played at Splendora losing 3-0. This Tuesday they will be taking on Willis at home in a district game. On Friday they will be playing at The Woodlands in a district game.

Tennis

On Tuesday the Tennis team will be taking on Willis in a home match.

Cross Country

Last Friday the Cross Country teams went to Galveston to race in the Galveston Invitational. The boys team took 3rd place overall, with senior Michael Nunez, freshmen Logan Breggon, and Daniel Nunez leading the races. While the girls team placed 4th amongst the other schools where sophmores Allyson Alvarez and Melany Jimenez lead the team.
