Safety Comes First!

Halloween is a very popular holiday and it is a tradition for families to go trick-or-treating. It is also a holiday that puts a lot of parent’s paranoia at an all time high. Many parents naturally worry about their children but as Halloween comes around, they tend to feel like their kids are in more danger by being a target to different kinds of criminals.

Although, statistics have proved that kids are not more of target for being sexually attacked just because it’s Halloween. Rates for this crime have actually remained the same Halloween is not more dangerous than any other day!

Many states have come up with their own laws for registered sex offenders. The law called “No Candy” states that, “…convicted sex offenders are to stay in their house on Halloween night, and prohibits them from answering the door to trick or treaters.” Some states even require sex offenders to post a sign in their yard on on their door saying “No Candy on this Residence.”

Even though the state has made their own acts to try to keep children safe, kids still need to remember they need to keep away from anyone that looks suspicious.
