Kittens Come to The Creek

Small animal management groomed some kittens last week. The adorable little animals were played with and enjoyed by the entire class. The small animal management class teachers the basics of how to care for and handle small animals and pets.

The object of bringing in the kittens is to bathe and play with the animals, as play teachers young animals the basics of hunting and self defence.

“I went to hold one”, said senior Alyssa Walulik. “I just walked in to play with the cats, I love kitties.”

While most everyone loves kittens, they must be adopted at some point. Animal shelters like MGAS (Montgomery County animal shelter) team up with pet shops like Petco and Petsmart to help give stray and unwanted animals to loving homes. Many of these stores have volunteer programs to play with and clean the quarters these animals live in.
