How would other people describe your high-school self?
Straightforward and I get along with kids.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?
Not really.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I went to college and got my associates degree then I moved to Texas. I became a substitute teacher and I knew where my life was headed, so I went back to college and got my bachelors degree. Applied here for lifetime nutrition and wellness teacher, then they offered culinary and I took it.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
Fish, walk, and go swimming when it’s nice outside.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
I don’t know I’m not really sure.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
Being in the position I am now. How it ended up being this way and started the job in lifetime nutrition. How I got asked for culinary and being able to meet chefs and new people in the industry.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
My brother Charely because we think alike.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Just keep going.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
My compassion, and how I love everybody.

Live on a island in a shack.
