How would other people describe you as an athlete?
They would probably say I’m the best one to come to Caney Creek.
How and why did you start playing?
I started playing because my grandma got tired of me just running around the house, so she signed me up for football, and I’ve been playing ever since.
Describe how you prepare before a game/tournament.
I prepare before a game by having the right mindset and just stand prepared, honestly.
For people that have never played your sport, what do you think the average person gets wrong about it?
Thinking it’s easy, because it’s not, it takes a lot of hard work and determination.
What personal superstitions or traditions do you have before, during or after a game?
I like to eat fried chicken before the game and pray to my Allah.
Tell us about your favorite memory as an athlete either on or off the field.
My favorite memory is probably getting two interceptions against Conroe High School, knowing those are where most of my friends all play so it was a pretty good experience and I got memories.
As an athlete, who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I’m thankful for Coach Hineman, because he’s led me down the right path.
What advice would you give to your younger self when you began playing?
Stay determined, keep the hard work, and stay focused.
What’s on your sports bucket list?
Go to college and play football.
