How would other people describe you as an athlete?
Hard working, acrobatic, and determined.
How and why did you start playing?
I started playing because I really liked the sport.
Describe how you prepare before a game/tournament.
I get locked in mentally and physically.
For people that have never played your sport, what do you think the average person gets wrong about it?
The way you are supposed to kick the ball.
What personal superstitions or traditions do you have before, during or after a game?
I lock in and play some music and get ready for the game. During the game I communicate with my teammates so we’re all on the same page and after the game I celebrate with the team.
Tell us about your favorite memory as an athlete either on or off the field.
When we beat Conroe High School at their home field and the bus ride back was fun.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
I’m most proud of going undefeated my freshmen year.
As an athlete, who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I’m thankful for having my twin on my team, Erik Benitez, he always has my back and is always hyping me up.
What advice would you give to your younger self when you began playing? T
I would tell myself to keep my head up and to always think about what will happen next.
What’s on your sports bucket list?
To make it past round one of the playoffs.
