How would other people describe your high-school self?
Goofy and sleepy.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?
After graduating college, I wanted to pursue a career in the environmental industry.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I appreciated the work of my teachers in high school and professors in college. I wanted to teach others science.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
Outside of school I enjoy fishing, exercising, and working in the yard.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
I am proud of sticking with my college education and becoming a teacher. Being an educator brings me joy as I help others grow. I have learned that with hard work and passion, I can offer a lot of support to the students and teachers in our school.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I am most thankful for my wife Taylor. She is a strong partner who has been extremely supportive of me and my choices as we have grown together.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would advise my younger self to stick to long-term goals that promote personal growth and a healthy life.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope to be remembered as someone who is consistent and works hard in personal and professional relationships.
What’s on your bucket list? (If needed) What aspirations do you have for the future?
I would like to travel outside of the country. We have never done it and it can seem intimidating, but we have it in our plans for the future.
