Jade Alvarez is a photojournalist. She takes pictures of sports and clubs. She is in her first year on staff as a photojournalist. She also plays basketball, and on the basketball team Jade is a shooting guard. Her basketball season starts in October. She also has three dogs at home.

Rivera was earlier seen making three saves. “The adrenaline is just rushing through my body, and I was just focusing on the next point,” Rivera said.

PEP TALK. Before the game against The Woodlands on Tuesday, September 2, coach Lang was talking to JV and telling them to play their best.

KEEPING UP. Before the game against The Woodlands Fernanda PerezNegron was waiting for her teammate to pass her the ball to go up for a hit. “I knew it was going to be tough competition but I had faith we could stay up with them,” PerezNegron said.

GOOD LUCK. Before the game against The Woodlands on Tuesday, September 2, Isabelle Deal (10) and the rest of the volleyball team went to give The Woodlands team a “good luck” before the game. “I was nervous before the game, I thought we were going to do pretty well, maybe a tough match but we did good,” Deal said.

CHEERING ON. During the game against The Woodlands on Tuesday, September 2, Kaelin Berset (12) and Marci Villegas (12) were cheering on JV with pom poms to help encourage them while they're playing. “The pom poms stunk so none of the other girls were cheering because they stunk but I was going crazy with them,” Berset said.

OVER THE NET. During the game against The Woodlands on Tuesday, September 2, Raleigh Synder (9) was serving the ball, causing them too later on get a point.
