How would other people describe your high-school self?
Very energetic and involved in everything.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?
I’m still in school to hopefully become an engineer.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I loved to work with kids, it started when I worked at a summer camp that I went to as a kid.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
I like to exercise, I do crossfit and I just recently ran a half marathon.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
That I’m an extroverted introvert.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
I’m most proud of myself when I took a break from grad school to focus on my mental health and was really able to turn my life around and that’s when I started getting into teaching.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
I’m very thankful for my wife for all the love, support, and happiness she brings me.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t be afraid to do things that make you uncomfortable.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
Caring.
What’s on your bucket list?
I want to climb Denali.
