How would other people describe your high-school self?
Overachiever, smart, funny, and talented.
Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?
I wanted to be a trader on the stock market floor in New York.
Tell us about how you got into teaching.
I am a 4th generation teacher; when I hit accounting in college it just did not make sense to me so I changed career paths.
What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?
Read a lot, scrapbook, make cards, and travel.
When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
I have my real estate license and my manicuring license on top of having my own business at one point and I have been a school principal.
Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
Deciding to teach, I feel that I am good at it and that I was called into teaching.
Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
My mother for so many uncountable reasons. She is the backbone of who I am today.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Follow your dreams.
What do you hope to be remembered for?
My students’ achievements because I encouraged them to follow their dreams and never give up.

Move to Turks and Caicos.
