2025-2026 Amber Literary Magazine
Caney Creek High School’s Amber Literary Magazine is a place where students and teachers can share poetry, short essays, short stories, paintings, drawings, photographs, and more! At the end of the year, all pieces will be composed into one literacy magazine.
The theme for the 2025-2026 Amber Literary Magazine is Nostalgia!
Nostalgia, by definition, is “a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past”. Amber invites you to submit pieces surrounding this idea. Whether that be a longing for a time, person, location, or emotion. The piece you decide to submit must surround the theme.

Submission Guidelines:
Who?
Any Caney Creek High School students, staff or faculty can submit.
What?
Creative writing (e.g. poetry, short fiction, essays)
Visual artwork & photography
How?
Typed writing is preferred (cleanly formatted)
Poetry and short pieces should be easy to read and collated in a single document.
Art/Photography should be submitted as high-quality images (clear photos or scans)
All work is reviewed by the student editorial board with guidance from faculty sponsor.
Not all submissions may be accepted. Selection is based on fit, quality and space in the issue.
Where?
Selected work will appear in the annual magazine edition (print or online) produced by magazine staff.
Deadlines
Work submission deadline is March 6.
Estimated print is late April.
