How would other people describe your high-school self?

A person that looks like an idiot but turns out to be smart, because I did my work but I talked a lot in class. I didn’t show them I was smart until they realized I graduated top 10%.

Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?

Keep scrolling to read more!

I wanted to become a pharmacist.

Tell us about how you got into teaching.

I was working as a claims adjuster during the pandemic but I really really disliked my job. A lot of my friends actually became high school teachers. So I texted them saying how the job is, and they all gave me positive views about it. So I just said “Alright, let’s give it a shot”, during COVID I got my teaching license and became a high school teacher.

What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?

For fun I like to do MMA, so I do kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu school.

When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?

I guess people are surprised that I’m kind of smart because people normally they thought that I was immature and dumb.

Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.

I’m a proud of being the first person in the household or even in my family to actually go to college and graduate.

Who is someone you are thankful for and why?

I’ll never tell him this, but my brother, because he actually motivated me. My big brother gave me a lot, gave me a lot of tips, and helped me out a lot during school and life in general. He gives me good advice, even to this day actually, but he needs to know that he’s still a loser.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

To just enjoy college more and do more activities because when I was in college, I was just more of work, school, and repeat. Now, if I could go back to my younger self I would say go to the parties and have some fun.

What do you hope to be remembered for?

I want to be known for being a chill, nice dude that doesn’t take himself too serious.
