How would other people describe your high-school self?

They would describe me as a very cool, nice, awesome football player and overall a good kid.

Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?

Professional football.

Tell us about how you got into teaching.

I started coaching AAU basketball first, and started looking for a path professionally. Since I loved coaching so much I figured why not be one.

What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?

I compete in flag football and basketball leagues for my love for sports and staying physically active.

What is something you know a weird amount about that isn’t related to something you teach?

My talent is intelligence. I’m interested in many different subjects, one other big topic that catches my heart would be conspiracy theories. I could have argument after argument about history’s lies.

Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.

All the opportunities and achievements of the nonprofit organization. We changed kids lives for the better.

Who is someone you are thankful for and why?

My mother for all the sacrifices she made with no second thought, as I grew up everything just kept elevating from there.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Generally pay more attention to my interest outside of sports, if I could do it all over again I would’ve become a chiropractor although I love what I do now, that would’ve met a couple more of my needs, and still would’ve been able to coach.

What do you hope to be remembered for?

Kindness and the way I treat others with respect, the time and effort put into what I does

What’s on your bucket list? What aspirations do you have for the future?

To start a family would be my personal goal, but also to take a team to a state.

Justin Esteban, Photojournalist

Justin Esteban is a photographer for Student Media at Caney Creek high school and Commercial Photography II. He is in his first year on Student Media, he also participates in Commercial Photography II. Where he along with his other photographers, produce products such as portraits, advertising, and involvement in Competitions such as ATPI. He has experience in capturing school ran events such as the 2023 Prom, IBC Awards, Wedding Extravaganza, and designed and sold printable holiday cards. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Texas in 2015. He enjoys reading books, writing fictional stories, watching shows/movies, and caring for his cat, Simba, and dog named Rocky.

Margarita Rangel, Website Editor-in-Chief

Margarita Rangel is Website editor-in-Chief and a photographer on Student Media. She has been on staff for three years now, apart from Student Media she's also a member of some honor societies. Secretary in NAHS, member of NHS, NTHS, StuCo, and Key Club. Rangel is also the Caney Creek intern for Conroe ISD sports photography. Favorite colors that bring her joy are Cobalt blue and Seafoam green. Her favorite band is Three Days Grace and is in love with DPR Ian and LIVE. She loves Criminals Minds, Greys Anatomy and streaming thriller Documentaries, her favorite horror movies is Insidious the Last Key. SHE ALSO VERY MUCH ENJOYS SPENDING HER TIME WITH LIZ AND NAT. (she also did everyone profiles so when you get the chance tell her good job even if she cant take the compliment..)
