How would other people describe you as a person?

Nice and kind and always determined.

What do you do outside of school for fun? Why ?

Keep scrolling to read more!

Recently, I’ve been starting to workout with my little brother, play football or soccer, and, most of the time, I mostly look up articles about the news and world and what’s going on because of my school activities. I had to be concerned because I want to be ready from when I do an event from speech and debate, (so I’m) fully aware of what the situation’s going on because a lot of them are “you have to be on your feet” type events.

What career do you want to pursue? Why?

My career path is mostly in education. I want to be a school administrator, so principal or superintendent. I want to help children.

When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?

I think the most surprising thing that they learn about me is that I am not Mexican. It’s because I look a certain way. In this school, most of the Hispanic kids are Mexican, so a lot of people think I am, but I am Guatemalan.

What is your hidden talent?

Even when the situation could make me nervous, I try my best to be calm and to go with the situation with optimism.

What is something you know a weird amount about?

I know a lot of things about Montgomery County because I know the coroner of the police department.

What’s on your phone background? Tell us why you chose that.

It’s just a galaxy background default. I never change my background because I don’t use my phone a lot.

Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.

How, during high school, so like even right now, I’ve managed to grow so much because of help from others — from my family and teachers. If they weren’t here to me, I wouldn’t never succeed.

Who is someone you are thankful for and why?

I am thankful for (Elizabeth) Johnson, because English for me was my hardest course I ever had.

What advice would you give to your younger self ?

Do something, but much earlier.

What do you hope to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered for helping and changing the way we teach school.

What’s on your bucket list?

My bucket list is to go to Guatemala and really get to know my family because in all my life, I’ve never really experienced my roots because we live in America. I’m all American.
