Journalism teacher, Physics teacher, Instructional Technologist awarded by Principal

Principal Dr. Terri Benson announced the Teacher of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year and Rising Star awards for the school’s faculty this year during second period.

Journalism teacher Stephen Green was named Teacher of the Year, Nick Eppinette-Smith was named Humanitarian of the Year and Physics teacher Timothy Norman was named Rising Star.

During first period, Benson and Associate Principal Donna Hounihan, congratulated these three with a celebratory balloon.

Every year, the staff and faculty nominate and vote teachers and staff for the awards. This year, the voting was held from Monday, Feb. 12, 2024 through Wednesday Feb. 14, 2024.

Molina is president of NEHS, an AP Ambassador and is involved in UIL Journalism, NHS and NTHS. She is also a part of the all-state journalism staff, two time region qualifier in feature writing and district champion in news writing. Angelica Palacios is one of the editor-in-chief for school yearbook and her skilled area is graphic design. :)we need more designers. She enjoys outdoor activities, playing Roblox, and going on walks and fishing alongside with her dad and younger sister.
