LOOK AHEAD: Winter Guard to hold showcase , Senior v. staff tickets on sale, Water polo tryouts

Winter Guard will be having a showcase this Friday, March 1, 2024. The showcase will be held in the big Gym at 6:30 p.m. Three Moorehead teams will be joining the team for their showcase.

Swim and Water Polo will be having tryouts on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 and Thursday, March 7 2024. Transportation will be provided to the Woodlands Natatorium. For any questions and to sign up email coach Day at [email protected] or in  Rooms 3310 or 2203.

Students who will be taking AP exams need to pay all payments in-full by noon on Friday, March 8, 2024. Any exams not paid for in full by this time will not be ordered, payments can be done through schoolcash online or to Dain Barron in the front office. Any questions see Karen Solberg in Room 3413.

The Starlette’s team will have a meeting Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, after school at 6:00 p.m.  in Room 5514. Students interested in joining the Starlette team must attend the meeting and bring a parent. The meeting will be followed by a Starlettes showcase. Any questions can be directed to Ms. Kloes or Ms. Archila in Room 5514.

The seniors v. staff basketball game will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024. Wristbands go on sale Feb. 28, 2024 for $3 during lunches. Day of the event wristbands will be sold but at $5.

Cheer will have another make up tryout meeting this Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in the LGI. Students must attend with a parent, and no experience is needed to try out. Any questions can be directed to Coach Jackson in room 3207.

Prom tickets will be sold April 8, 2024 for $60 a person. On April 22- May 2 tickets will be sold at $75 a person. All fines and fees must be purchased in full prior to purchasing a prom ticket, seniors who owe money will receive a note March 1, 2024 containing all fees needed to be paid off. All payments can be done through schoolcash online or in Mrs. Barron office. Contact your AP for any questions.

Margarita Rangel is Website editor-in-Chief and a photographer on Student Media. She has been on staff for three years now, apart from Student Media she's also a member of some honor societies. Secretary in NAHS, member of NHS, NTHS, StuCo, and Key Club. Rangel is also the Caney Creek intern for Conroe ISD sports photography.  Favorite colors that bring her joy are Cobalt blue and Seafoam green. Her favorite band is Three Days Grace and is in love with DPR Ian and LIVE. She loves Criminals Minds, Greys Anatomy and streaming thriller Documentaries, her favorite horror movies is Insidious the Last Key.  SHE ALSO VERY MUCH ENJOYS SPENDING HER TIME WITH LIZ AND NAT. (she also did everyone profiles so when you get the chance tell her good job even if she cant take the compliment..)

Melissa Bonilla is the Social Media Editor at Caney Creek High School. She is in charge of every social media post for the Student Media and is also one of the photographers for the yearbook. She is in her second year as a photographer and she is also in her sixth year in choir as an alto. In choir she has gotten 1's and 2's in the choir UIL for the pass three years. She has also gotten A-B Honor Rolls for each year she's been in high school.
