How would other people describe you as an athlete?

A leader on the field, mat, and classroom. An “overwhelming presence” I’ve been told before.

How and why did you start playing?

Keep scrolling to read more!

I started wrestling because my parents wanted me to get some energy out before going home and I started playing football because my dad thought I could play in college.

Describe how you prepare before a game/tournament.

I get good sleep, eat good food, hydrate, and read Berserk or play some chess on my phone.

For people that have never played your sport, what do you think the average person gets wrong about it?

There is an assumption that all athletes are just athletes because that’s all they see but most of us are incredible students on and off the field.

What personal superstitions or traditions do you have before, during or after a game?

I don’t have any superstitions or traditions. I just go out there and do my job.

Tell us about your favorite memory as an athlete either on or off the field.

Traveling to the University of Missouri for a wrestling camp/tournament and placing at the tournament

Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.

We were doing the last set of sprints during summer conditioning and one of my teammates fell and I picked him up and made sure he made it across the finish line.

As an athlete, who is someone you are thankful for and why?

I am thankful for God, my parents, my coaches, and my girlfriend.

What advice would you give to your younger self when you began playing?

Don’t let anybody get in your way.

What’s on your sports bucket list?
