How would other people describe your high-school self?

Overachiever, smart, funny, and talented.

Was there a career you wanted to pursue OR pursued before teaching?

Keep scrolling to read more!

I wanted to be a trader on the stock market floor in New York.

Tell us about how you got into teaching.

I am a 4th generation teacher; when I hit accounting in college it just did not make sense to me so I changed career paths.

What do you do outside of school for fun? Why?

Read a lot, scrapbook, make cards, and travel.

When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?

I have my real estate license and my manicuring license on top of having my own business at one point and I have been a school principal.

Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.

Deciding to teach, I feel that I am good at it and that I was called into teaching.

Who is someone you are thankful for and why?

My mother for so many uncountable reasons. She is the backbone of who I am today.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Follow your dreams.

What do you hope to be remembered for?

My students’ achievements because I encouraged them to follow their dreams and never give up.

What’s on your bucket list?

Move to Turks and Caicos.
