Danny noyola is a photographer and one of the three photo editors at Caney Creek High School. He is in charge of assigning camera equipment along with beats to each of the photographers. He is going on to his second year in staff. He enjoys taking pictures of Caney Creek athletics and in free time having a photoshoot with cars and trucks.

WORLD CLASS.Senior Tyler Groen Smiles for the camera on Wednesday Oct.16. Groen competed at an international level during the summer placing first in the country and moving on to japan to compete against international level. “I really liked Japan,” Groen said. “It was a good experience, everyone at the competition was really good. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't understand anything they were telling me,I had to translate everything with my phone.”

Eubanks drove into the paint with the ball where he successfully got a point conversion, but the game ended in a defeat for the boys basketball varsity team. “We underestimated them since we had beaten them before already,” Eubanks said. “We could have done better.”

Calderon was fouled attempting a shot in the paint following he would make both free throws at the line easily. “I missed practice and wasn't playing until the second half,” Calderon said. “By then the momentum of the game had moved to Conroe.”

Perez was going for the loose ball while two Conroe guards followed attempting as well. “We could have won but we sold, you know,” Perez said. “On the offensive end I could have done more like finishing my layups.”

CUT. Sophomore point guard Korben Pitre with the ball on the offensive against Conroe on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024. Pitre at the three point line was being guarded while he dribbled out to cut back inside and go into the paint, shooting and converting. “Come the second half we turned up and started hitting our shots,” Pitre said. “There's still stuff to improve on, but I did my part.”

With no one defending him at the time, Garcia took his opportunity and shot the mid range. “We played good but if we had started with the intensity we had in the second half we could have overcome them,” Garcia said. “We needed to finish our layups and get more into the paint.”

TIP OFF. Senior center Ian Jones reaching up for the ball on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024. As center, Jones is the one to do tip offs at the start of games to get his team the first offensive push. “The outcome didn't go our way again,” Jones said. “Conroe being my old school, I wanted to win but personally I definitely could have done better.”

The volleyball team finished its season with a victory over New Caney High School. “I think we played good, I just expected myself to play better but overall we played good as a team, I'm happy I can finally go home after school,” Arreola said. “But I know I'm going to want to be in season again in a couple days.”
